Vivo Y50 announced with 5,000mAh battery, quad cameras: price, specifications and India launch details

The Vivo Y50 has been officially launched after being spotted at the IMEI database earlier this year and on the Google Play Console listing with model number V1935. The Vivo Y50 has been announced via the company’s Cambodia Facebook page before being taken down. The smartphone touts a punch-hole display to accommodate the selfie camera and a quad-camera setup at the back. The phone has a unique gradient design with a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor for security. Other key Vivo Y50 specifications include a 5,000mAh battery, a 6.53-inch full HD+ display and Android 10 OS with Funtouch OS 10 custom skin on top.

Vivo Y50 price and availability

The Vivo Cambodia Facebook page has revealed the Vivo Y50 price is set at $249 (approx Rs 19,000). It will be available in Blue and Black colour options and is already available to pre-order at Laure.com.kh. The Vivo Y50 may launch in India soon as it has received the BIS certification in the country.

Vivo Y50 specifications

The Vivo Y50 sports a 6.53-inch Ultra-O full HD+ display with 1,080 x 2.340 pixels resolution and slim bezels. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 SoC coupled with Adreno 610 GPU, 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage that should be further expandable. However, the Google Play Console listing suggested there could be a 6GB RAM model as well. The handset should run on Android 10 with Funtouch OS custom skin on top, but this wasn’t confirmed on the Facebook page.

Vivo Y50 camera specifications include a quad camera setup on the back consisting of a 13MP primary shooter, an 8MP wide-angle lens with 120 degrees field-of-view, a 2MP depth sensor and a 2MP 2cm macro sensor. It packs a 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast-charging support. There is a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor for security. The Vivo Y50 connectivity options could include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and a 3.5mm audio jack.
